Criterions of differentiation between phrasal verbs and main verbs in modern English.

The article is dedicated to the investigation of the criterions between phrasal verbs and main verbs in modern English. It is found that the phrasal verbs are the verbal complexes consisting of a verb, preposition or adverb, fill a void in the lexical system of language, which can not completely provide the names of the identified human aspects of the activity. Six objective criterions by means of which it is possible to differentiate phrasal verbs and main verbs in modern English are studied.References
